Thomas Wil­son   Per­cus­sion & Com­po­si­tion Instructor

 

Thomas grad­u­ated from the Uni­ver­sity of Mass­a­chu­setts at Amherst with a Bachelor’s Degree in Per­cus­sion Per­for­mance and Com­po­si­tion. While at UMass, Thomas pre­sented two full solo recitals and per­formed with numer­ous ensem­bles, earn­ing the role of sec­tion leader in the UMass Min­ute­man March­ing Band his senior year. His pas­sion for march­ing band led to his par­tic­i­pa­tion in Drum Corps Inter­na­tional for four years, cul­mi­nat­ing in his being named sec­tion leader of the Cadets Front Ensem­ble. Thomas is a pro­fes­sional per­cus­sion­ist and music edu­ca­tor, as well as an arranger and com­poser. He is cur­rently the Direc­tor of the Shep­herd Hill Win­ter Per­cus­sion and Shep­herd Hill Show Choir Pit Bands, Assis­tant Direc­tor of the Shep­herd Hill March­ing Band, and music arranger for numer­ous schools across the country.
